About
Are Aboriginal people truly the most incarcerated group in Australia, and if so, why? This course examines the factors behind this reality, exploring whether systemic racism or other causes, such as the impact of the "back to country" movement, are to blame. Building on insights from the 1967 Referendum course, we'll delve into whether police and societal racism are the driving forces, or if deeper issues are propagating incarceration yet are being ignored. You'll also investigate why some well-meaning groups prefer to hide these problems, leaving the struggles of many young Aboriginal people in the shadows. IN DEVELOPMENT: COURSE OVERVIEW ONLY
